... so amazing didn't seem to notice. After leaving cable car you are able to go even higher on well formed mountain tracks. Walked for about an hour - reached the snow line- starting to get a bit chilly - then 2 guys skiied past on the track so decided it was time to return to catch last cable car of the day back down to our hotel. ... Route de Cares, regarded as one of the best in the Picos national park and it was awesome. The path is set on the edge of a canyon with tunnels through the rock and it was quite narrow at times. The sheer drops off the edge of the track and no protective barriers helped us to keep our focus the for the entire trek!! What an amazing experience. We would recommend a visit to the Picos de Europa be added to your list if you are ever planning a trip to Northern ...
