      I have moved to Fethiye now, a few hours bus ride along the coast from Marmaris. The main reason for visiting Fethiye is to inspect a boat for sale ( see pic ). However, of course while here, I am doing some sight-seeing. As you will see in the pix, the views across the harbour are spectacular. Aside from viewing the boat Tiki, things I have been doing include:

      ... multiple drinks and it appeared to me you could just walk out of the place without paying. When we did go to pay it was a bit of an honesty system. I do wonder if the last person left cops the remainder of the bill? This system would never work in Australia.
      Alex went home after about an hour but Ail the driver stayed out with us and had a few bevies - again that would never work in Australia! ...

      ... and socks fortunately. After the gorge we continued on to Antalya passing rugged hills of marble mines. Marble is ridiculously cheap here and the people even use a lot of it in the interiors of their homes, not just on their kitchen benches like we do! The scenery was quite beautiful travelling through the mountains. It was like you see on the documentaries of Turkey. Very dry and rocky with scattered ruins of ancient forts on some of the mountain tops. Every now and then ...

      ... when to pay,we watched people get on and tried to see if we could work the system...we couldn't,so we just stayed on the bus until we got close to the marina,and hopped off we paid the guy 2tl for each of us and that seemed to be o.k.Ice creams and beers on the way back in a nice seaside bar then dinner back at the I.P.Beautiful rainbow trout with a not so beautiful accompaniment,yes tomato,cucmber and rice!
