      Bus to Fethiye

... stunning coves and turquoise waters, up into the hills and pine plantations, through local villages and then back to the coast at Fethiye.

Staying at a hotel above the yacht marina and port which is huge and has some incredibly expensive and enormous yachts and motor launches, a lot of which are covered for winter. The population is about 80,000, and it's a big tourist spot for British people apparently, and obviously a prosperous and modern city.

... gone conclusion it was back to the boat for a stuff of the backpack before buying a ticket on a bus out of town.

All organised all that was left to do was to say our goodbyes, which once again is always harder than you would expect after only spending a 7 days together. The group of legends that we had the pleasure of getting to know over the week and the memories that we will forever have are priceless and we look very forward to catch up with all of them in the future.

Caught a cab to take us to the bus station so we could board a bus for Fethiye 200 K's to the west. I was surprised to see entertainment screens at the back of all the seats and a steward on board serving food and drinks as we drove along. All that for 34.-- A$ ( for two persons & Petrol costs A$ 2.62 per litre) and I could even sit back and relax and watch the scenery which I really enjoyed. The scenery on the way ...

... after pair ran and jumped off the side of the mountain. Then it was our turn. Uncle Albert flew first and was airborne with no complications. I was next in line; a couple quick steps and a hop later, we were soaring side by side.

We started off with a couple loops around the mountain top where the launch was located, and then we coasted out toward the Mediterranean. The air was frigid for the first fifteen minutes of flight, but ...

      ... time in my life.

The bus system is easy to navigate paying a few lira to get downtown, a bustling area of of shopping and nightlife. I did the five island tour which was beautiful but I would have much rather taken a day trip to Rhodes Island. However, swimming in the dead sea (Oludeniz) and paragliding have to be one of my best experiences in Fethiye.
