    KAVALA, GREECE, 0CTOBER 9, 2014

Kavala is a major Greek port on the East coast of Greece across from the island of Thassos in Macedonia area of Greece. This is the area of the apostle Paul. Kavala was originally a small fishing village settled by Greeks from Thassos. At that time it was called Neopolis meaning "new city". The apostle Paul made two trips here, the second being the more famous of the two.

At this time the area ...

It would have probably been absolutely fine if not a single person ever knew that Paul, Luke, and Silas were residing at her place while in Philippi. She convinced Paul and the others to stay with her because she said if they saw that she was “a true believer in the Lord”, then they should stay with her to fellowship together.

... decoration. The main site was totally unmarked, weeds replacing Romans. Four military jets roared overhead, showing the flag.

Backtracked to Panetteria, a swish bakery, for a few items for lunch [2.2], chowing down in some shade near a little inland square. I think it was the shape of a small church behind me.

The tourist streets aren't worth photographing but more interesting tidbits are always on offer along residential streets. Better muffllers on scooters would ...
