    ... on it. The second building was a guards room. There is also a tower with very narrow steps up to the top, within the walls there is an open air theatre which has regular performances in the summer.
    On our way back down through the pastel coloured houses that line the tangled streets we passed a huge 18 domed Imaret built in 1817 which was a hostel for Islamic theology students, it us now a hotel. Also close by is ...

    ... done by placing large fine nets under the trees and then shaking the branches with hooked poles. There are a few olive manufacturing visitors centres on the island, but they are all closed. We parked at the end of the village and walked up the mountain to the lake, it was very pleasant, not too steep and followed a deep ravine with a small river winding it's way down it.     ... is beautiful. We had a walk on the beach and found some really unusual pebbles,black snd white with sparkly bits, there are also a few remains of an ancient settlement. It looks as if 'Time Team' have been here, there are numerous trenches dug in lines and a handful of carved marble blocks. After a really pretty sun set catering made lasagne for tea and baked coffee and walnut muffins, whilst Les polished one of the pebbles with wet and dry paper to add to our stone ...

    ... by some aluminium sheeting. Next to it is an old building that has a smaller bath inside it, it's a bit tumbled down and dirty.
    Back at Dream Catcher we set off back, there is only the one road back, it's the one we came on.
    In the valley just below the village we can see steam from more hot springs, there is an old small hamam and some one has a private hot bath in a small building.
