NEA KARVALI

Our family spent a whole autumn here in this village. Our children were very young then.
We are here now to spot the house we used to rent while in Karvali.

The scenery up the mountains are indeed more than my expectations.
From up here we can see Kavala, and Keramoti, and the whole coast.
The drive up here is pleasant, having the two friends talking about their past.

Unfortunately, another closed Monastery. It seems that we are not wellcomed at Monasteries.
It is the wrong timing actually! Again it is 2.15 pm and the monasteries are closed.

THEOLOGOS MOUNTAIN VILLAGE



The weather is improving, and after the visit to the Monastery we decided to visit Theologos village.



It is a touristic village, with very narrow streets and stone built houses. There are many souvenir shops and tavernas (restaurants).

There are many people who have come here and there are many visitors from Romania and Bulgary. The new Monastery is being built so we are allowed just to visit the old church. The new one which is being built is really going to be magnificent in one or two years from now.

THE BEAUTIFUL EASTERN COASTS OF THASOS

The beauty of the beautiful eastern coasts, sandy beaches, sunshine, vegetation, everything!

Spent hours in an internet cafe in Xanthi today, resolving visa issues and emailing parents. After several failures and detours, we eventually found a garage that would change Molly's oil. It had been a source of some concern and I was glad to have it sorted, several thousand miles past the recommended time. Pretty sure that Molly is running more smoothly now, but I could be deluding myself.

... site of '300'. Sparta!!! Once we arrived at the hotel, we settled in and then headed out. First we had more awesome Giros. Then we went bowling, followed by pool and then to the internet cafe in the AM. The night was good fun and a great chance to catch up with the others. It's like we've all become a tight knit little family, it's crazy. Most people are so close and it's like we've been friends for years. It great!
