... not to come today. So it is just me, him, and the locals floating about on our little island of bliss. It's nearly impossible to walk twenty meters without seeing a gelato shop, so we stop and get a cone. The Amarena (black cherry and cream) flavor has been untouched and is just waiting for me to take the first scoop. (It's also a real cone and not one of those things that tastes like cardboard.)

... owner is a very nice man...we are only a 2 minute walk from San Marco square and there quite a few nice little restaurants around here as well. Yesterday we went over to the big seafood markets and lunch at a seafood restaurant right beside....least we knew the food was fresh...the Poste Vecie....the oldest restaurant in Venice...in was built in 1500. It is a very beautiful old restaurant, with beautiful furnishings, waiters all in red jackets and very cosy gas "log" ...
