    ... so many famous paintings, but in Florence when people are paying that to only see David, I felt it was a bit expensive. But then it is coming up to Christmas, and i'm about to head back to Paris, so perhaps i'm just worried about my funds. Pisa was a lovely town. Very quaint, but a trendy uni town at the same time. We visited an eclectic book store with stairs of knowledge built from books leading up to a view of a narrow canal and a filings system which consisted of piling books in old gondolas and bathtubs. The bookstore also had a ground floor entrance the looked out onto a canal. Maybe the books are in boats and bathtubs for when the tide rises?
