    ... couple of hours if wandering, a picnic lunch and a restful time on the boat. None of us were really impressed with Torcello, the last stop as the church was under scaffolding and it cost too much to enter. Probably safe to say we were tired too!

    ... did make it to the San Marco Basilica. The church has 5 domes which is extremely unusual for any church, but they were all decorated in gold mosaics.
    I happened to be in Venice during their university graduation, so I got to witness some of their celebratory traditions which involved funny costumes for the graduates and a lot of singing in the streets. Entertaining to say the least, but very crowded.
