Another yummy seafood meal and I think we are too full for sweets. Shame.

Back to bed for our last day tomorrow to plan.

Up early to catch a taxi to the train station. Our train left at 9:30 and took just over 2 hours to reach Venice via Bologna, Ferrara and Padua. Emerging from the railway station in Venice was a surreal site. Instead of a major street with busses and taxis there was a canal with ferries, water taxis, gondolas and barges. It was a 20 minute walk to our ...

... with you. Italians are extremely proud of their pasta, as they should be, and any good host will proclaim THEIR dishes are the best on the block. My favorite dish so far has been gnocchi (a potato dumpling of sorts) smothered with cheese and truffle oil. Very different, but very good. The most expensive meal I've had, though, was at the Hard Rock Café in Florence. I paid 15€ for a hickory bacon BBQ burger. Completely worth it when I was ...
