... Gallerie dell’Accademia and get our bearings (as much as you can in Venice). The sun is over the yardarm and it’s time for our daily Aperol Spritz (bit of a dangerous routine forming here…) Finding somewhere you passed just 10 minutes earlier proves to be something of a challenge - in the style of the moving staircases of Hogwarts, nothing ever seems to be where it was earlier. We find a quaint little square – Campo ...

... sunshine, nonetheless. The island is nicely relaxed and quite a contrast to the hurly-burly human traffic of Venezia. We strolled around the island pausing at the tourist shops selling a multitude of glass items, some fantastically glamorous and expensive, others cheap and tacky. ... shut so it didnt open very easily. Once we were finally settled into our apartment, we went out to walk the streets of Venice.

Sunday morning we were up at a decent time and ready to see the city! One of our first stops just happened to be a shoe and purse store where Jamie and I found some gorgeous shoes - although it was only the beginning of the day and we werent ready to carry them around yet. So, we continued on ...

... The food is so good, it's my favourite thing about Italy. On our last meal we very nearly had microwave Italian pasta. I'm the queen of microwaves but we are in Italy for goodness sake. Even I know that's not acceptable. Without paying we left for a fantastic authentic Italian 'Roman' last meal. Home made pasta and deep fired mozzarella balls. Oh my goodness, what a tasty way to end the week!
