Aujourd'hui ce termine mon aventure en Italie! Mais quelle aventure de reve! La quantites de choses que j'ai apprise, les idees que j'ai acquises et surtout les gens que j'ai connu ont fait de ce voyage un moment inoubliable ! I just left Milano where I took my last course of coffee and I loved it ! I'm actually very sad to leave this beautiful country and all my friends here, who knows when I will see them again? but it's now time ...

... had thought we would be touring facilities - but nope, traditional Italian lunch it is. Lukka was very friendly and knowledgeable about both Italy and the AC Milan techniques that interest Conor so much. For lunch we had pumpkin raviolli with hazelnuts and some meat with polenta (I ate as many bites of meat as I felt was necessary to not seem rude...it tasted like I remember meat, but wasn't that exciting). For dessert we had vanilla gelato with a shot of espresso over it - ...

Museum at Academia for a bit of culture- lots of painting of last supper that were rescued(?) from churches in town. Some really old 14c stuff and some more recent restored items. Amazing brushwork and huge alter pieces some with bible stories that were new to me. Spent arvo wandering lanes and canals. Pizza at same restaurant. ...

... where we spent time watching the locals, ferries, hydrofoils, float planes and fishermen come and go before a walk to a huge water spout we could see in the distance. Finished our outing with cappucinos in the piazza before again catching the bus home. We got off a stop early as the walk up the road is better than up the 291 steps, just a long winding road and 54 steps.
