The city of Noto is also divided into two levels. The newer section, on an incline, provides some amazing examples of the Baroque style, from palaces such as Palazzo Ducezio to religious comlexes such as the Cathedral of San Nicoḷ,

... 20 metres into the sea and still stand without any problem.
So we stayed there for a while, took some dives in the nice water and enjoyed the relaxed life.

Lots of churches, lots of stairs in the city, long walks up and down and damn difficult to get a nice picture of the nice things you see. We had lunch in a small place with a typical Modican dish (some kind of pizza but rolled with ...

... to old. Both parts are baroc style.

To get from new to old you have to go down a number of stairs to get in that old piece of town – of course coming back you have to get up these stairs again. Exercise guaranteed.

It is a very nice view when you walk from one part to the other. Both ‘cities’ are glued to a mountain and look fabulous from the other part of the city. As usual a lot of churches and as usual very ...
