One of our surf instructors was a young Filipino girl called Karen which turned out to be the daughter of the old friendly guy from the surf shop, she spoke perfect English but with an American and hint of Caribbean accent which was pretty odd but they do all seem to have American accents over here. After a quick lesson on the sand it was out to the sea to catch some waves or try to at least! Surprisingly we was both getting the hang of it quite quick and getting up quite a ...

Eventually we returned home just in time for dinner. Later that evening we made our way to Karaoke - my first but probably not my last of karaoke in Asia. It was a blast everyone came we had bottle service with food and sang our hearts out. Then we retired in the wee hours of the morning : ...

Friday: Went for a walk with Maria and stumbled across a store where I bought a skirt and pair of pj shorts for $2. It was really hot and eventually we returned home to eat lunch and head out for the Festival. It was the day for the males to carry Peñafrancia to the cathedral. We luckily went to Barb's cousins beautiful house to view the huge crowds from above - on the balcony. I have never seen so many people in my life let alone to honour a ...
