We had just landed in Sofia, Bulgaria and there were so many people. International airports are always crowded. It was a little difficult trying to navigate around the airport to find baggage since the signs were written in multiple languages, but we found it. We got our luggage and left the airport to catch a taxi. The taxi took us through the beautiful city. All around there were people walking, and brick paved ...

I went on a lovely day trip today with my friend and landlady F. We went to a very historic town/village called Tryavna first, before moving on to Dryanovski Monastery, which is set in a dramatic gorge. Both are within 40km from Veliko Tarnovo.

Happily, Hostel Mostel was in a much more open and populated area on a huge road intersection, but laid back from the road behind some ...

... son, Alex. The day we took Zach out of Buzovgrad we stopped at their house and had lunch. Zach sat on their bed and ate Bulgarian yogurt! They were happy to see us and look exactly the same!

Overall, it was a great day. After we got back to the hotel it started to rain really hard...I mean really hard. We thought the rain might ruin our dinner plans with Dr. Panova and her husband, Harry. ...

... town. In the town there is a big bill board advertising, that this church exists. But no sign whatsoever how to reach it. And of course in the town, you can not see the church any longer. When you reach the church, there is no information, not even in Bulgarian.
Sometimes we reach a museum. We don't expect it, we haven't heard about it. Before you pay your entrance, there is often hardly a possibility to find out what's ...
