We caught the number 7 bus down to central Florence....even though it was only 6 kms away from Fiesole...it was on a steep decline and the traffic was horrendous...I 'love' the way that Italian drivers just stop their cars, put the hazard lights on and leave their cars on the road so they can duck into the shop across the road.....

... and the writer of the Divine Comedy. Come ON!! I geeked out a bit. Not to mention, the cathedral itself was stunning, as we the cloisters and courtyard outside. We headed back to the apartment and Mom cooked us a fantastic pot roast with potatoes, carrots, mushrooms, onions, and a salad. We enjoyed the delicious dinner around the large dining room table, sipped champagne, talked, laughed, and enjoyed the evening. Now, it's time to rest our very weary bodies and prepare for another ...

... s clothing and we went in to look around because it was so cute! There was a matching set (in the cutest pattern of little monsters, plaid and others) with an umbrella, rain boots, and a rain jacket. It looked perfecto for Brady, but apparently it was designer and therefore close to 200 Euros! Yikes! But, I still enjoyed just looking! We kept running across alleys that led down the sides of the giant hill and had striking views that required us all to grab our cameras ...
