... a magnificent sunset as we drove West on the Poland A2.
We overnighted uneventfully in a road side parking area on the south bound route 9 in Germany. Heading on southwards we enjoyed the wonderful German roads and made good time, crossing freely into Austria.

We certainly left a part of our hearts with these special friends.

... Unfortunately with the season having ended we didn't get to see it. We headed on an awful busy fast road to Gdansk and found our Villa in the suburbs on the hill above the city. ... round wooden door and walk down a long straight corridor carved into the rock/salt. I have no idea what to expect and therefore am very excited by an echo chamber we come to within the first 200m. However, this is not the main event. There are around 13 flights of wooden steps to climb down, and at the bottom is a vast cavern roughly 50m wide, 120m long and 50m high, with swirls of salt and ice in the walls. It is no longer a working mine, so instead, on the inside visitors ...

... sorry if I spelt that wrong, then went back to Mirek's apartment via an off licence to get and, to drink quite a lot more beer. During the evening we had a lot of fun, took some pics, and at some point decided to go get hotdogs. They said I could wait there, but I insisted I came along, they had not let me pay for anything, and that I should at least buy the hotdogs
Leszek and I slept on the bed, whilst I assume Mirek slept on the couch.
