... dining area is set in formal restaurant style, and as we are seated we have an 'oh wow' moment, realising the view from this room extends far to the north over the lake. It's beautiful. All the glassware is Riedel and mixed drinks even come with swizzle sticks! This place deserves a long lunch, so we even have dessert. Chef here has done a few less mainstream desserts (as far as Italian menus go) and the chocolate semi freddo with pistachio and the hot chocolate sauce cake ...

I had several hours free in the middle of the day. I had seen a market from the taxi on the way back from the hospital so being a real sucker for markets I went back to find it. It was mostly clothes and very extensive. I bought a shirt to wear to La Scala tomorrow. Clothes are great quality and relatively cheap here, by Aussie standards.
