... twin concrete tracks that just be for a tractor type vehicle. But very rough, and unbelievably, it gets steeper. Up and up he continues. The trees are so thick that you cannot see the castle or village or anything really. After about 30 minutes of this he stops with heart thumping and decides this must be the wrong way. Down he goes, having to be extra careful as the path is quite treacherous going down. Rough steep and slippery. Eventually gets back ...

... this very narrow road, avoiding the parked cars and trucks. It took us a while with Michael out giving directions, but eventually we reached the bottom with no incidents. After that experience, we decided we would just go home. We headed back to the ferry terminal and there was a half hour wait. ... that there is now a funeral in the church and lots of cars everywhere. The girls are sitting in a little restaurant slightly off the main road but still with a lake view. Here we are in a small village in provincial Italy and the lunch we had was just spectacular! Ricotta filled ravioli in a citrus cream sauce, pork belly with a crust of pistachio. I can't remember the other two meals but just as good - the sort of food you would expect at one of Adelaide's top restaurants maybe. ...

Roger is a mad cyclist and has arranged to hire a bike while here and go on a couple of rides through the mountains. Today we are taking him to a hotel just out of Bellagio where he will pick up his bike and meet today's riding partner - Fabio. We head off and all is fine. We can see where the hotel is located on our mini tourist map and the GPS map is showing us the roads. The GPS would not let us enter the details for the hotel ...
