He has an uncanny knack of matetialising just when you appear through the gates on your way to town, with a broad grin, a trademark head wobble and offers of immediate assistance. He also has many suggestions for trips and visits (which he or his family can provide at most reasonable rates). When me and Fred ask him the quickest way to the beach he ushers us ...

... of Mirissa as it is for most has to be the whale watching. Not only did we see the giant blue whale in all it's gloriy, we also saw around 30 dolphins putting on a display and 1 huge turtle off the side of the boat on the way back. It took around 2 hours for the boat to find where the whale was, but it was certainly worth the wait. We also saw lots of flying fish on the way and on the way back. I haven't ever seen them before and couldn't believe how long they can actually ...
