      ... for the departure. To use an old cliché, you don't realise how much you've got, until you move, but can anyone answer this.

      ... hadn't realised when we stopped in Bellinzona last night that it is a Unesco World Heritage listed site, as it has 3 magnificent castles built in the 13th, 14th & 15th centuries and surrounded by a high city wall, and then surprisingly the weekend was also Unesco 'open house' weekend, so all buildings were open and free to the public.

      ... town to town. We first went to Varenna and walked around. Then back to Bellagio for lunch on the lake. Then to Managgio and back again to Bellagio. It's all very beautiful here and we are just taking the opportunity to relax. We will use our balcony this evening for gazing into Lake Como and then tomorrow we make the trek to Strasbourg.       ... a feminely tone to my voice as much as I could muster and said it was taken. As I got up to leave I peeked out the door and the coast was clear! We went for a stroll along the huge lake and ate some kebabs on the shoreline. Italians must not take food to go as we got some petulant stares from some people walking past.

      ... woes apart, this was a thoroughly nice place to be. I indulged in the sense of History, as you do.
