Gruss
Ralf
Bitola, Macedonia schwateHallo zusammen,

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/a s_australia_dust_storm
Ohrid, Macedonia schwate... the cobblestone roads to the fortress are great. The pace is slow and relaxing. There is a great path that winds in and out of the beaches on its way to a great old church. The old man giving us a tour is delighted that we are so interested and offers us Raiki (a local brandy).

After some rain, a beautiful rainbow appears.
Ohrid, Ohrid, Macedonia will.traveller... frescos are only found here and in one other church in the world (Kiev, Ukraine).

We then began our uphill hike to the most famous of the churches, the church of St. Jovan. The church is small and the interior quite impressive (and came with private narration by the wonderful woman collecting the 100 MKD entrance fee), but what really distinguishes this church is the location. Perched on a cliff on the edge of the shore, it provides the most ...

Ohrid, Macedonia pilgrimsaunter... pomnika Cyryla i Metodego - patronow wszystkich Slowian. Bylam tak podekscytowana, jakbym zobaczyla Ghandiego! Poszlismy wzdluz linii brzegowej jeziora Ohrydzkiego, az do parku i wypozyczalni lodek. Potem w druga strone - pod gore, waskimi uliczkami, wsrod i pieknych, i zapadajacych sie w ruine domow, do kosciola sw. Zofii. Ohryd to miasto bizantyjskich ...
Ohrid, Macedonia bogna... like you have the whole beach to yourself either. Half the country plus all sorts of random, big-bellied Europeans are squeezed up next to you on the sand, packed into their one-size-fits-none budgie-smugglers (Speedos to the uninitiated) with bratty kids in tow. I'm such a cynic. Ohrid is, as far as these places go, not entirely unenjoyable. And, hey, it's the deepest lake in Europe, that's got to count for something.
Ohrid, Macedonia jambo... ok to pay an extra 20 cents for fries. We are living like kings for 40 bucks a day. It is fun to throw money around like you are rich(which we are here) and not feel bad about it because it really doesn't cost you much. Today we are going to hire a boat and captain who is going to take us around cliff jumping on the lake and to a small hidden beach. It will cost us each 5 Euros...for the whole day. Last night we went out and were blown away by the ...
