So yesterday we moved on to a small beach place called Pipa. We took 3 local buses and arrived here at about 4pm. On our last bus we met a really nice Israeli couple called Ruby and Gilly who are also on their honeymoon having got married 2 days before us.

Pipa was buzzing when we arrived.. so much more life than Genipabu.. restaurants that are even open in the evening!!! We settled into our guesthouse Xama for the night and went for dinner ...

... the beach having a cold beer and hawkers will come past selling EVERYTHING you could imagine.. hammocks, cds, rails of clothes, wooden ships, fresh fish, paintings, sunglasses.. its just insane. All the teenage boys have converted wheelbarrows with a battery inside and a car radio on the outside as they come past blasting music and selling their copied cds.. its hilarious. The next minute a man with a wheelbarrow ...

... cheap necklace. When he stepped off the bus, about 6 taxi drivers jumped him and started going to town on him. I stepped out of the bus with my knife to go after him but my stuff was on the bus and the cabbies were taking care of him.

So, I took a long bus ride back to Recife, went to the airport, and sat from 8:00pm until my flight at 6:05am. Nothing like sleeping in an airport.

A long time later, I woke up in Bogota, and that is where I pick up later!!!!

... to eat I find myself putting up a defense, and it makes me want things sooo much less if someone is forcefully trying to get me to buy it. All this would be ok I suppose if I didnt know that the prices they are asking for are always too high. There is nothing that cant be bargained for, but at the same time, we have no idea what reasonable prices are and so end up lost and confused and accepting things we perhaps shouldnt. not to mention the language barrier.... Enough of ...
