    ... and found a store selling cheap backpacks for 35reais. It was far from flash and was of pretty terrible quality (which we later found out was an overstatement) but for like $13, it'll do to tie us over for a few weeks. Having an extra bag would make packing and transit so much easier so we bought the bag and offloaded stuff into to make our travel a bit easier.     ... shots that were set alight, teaching Brazilians (who spoke no English) international drinking rules, smashing what turned out to be a Brazilian Policeman's drink, twice and meeting a guy who was adamant he was Rachel's future husband, a 6ft 6ish basketball player from Rio who spent the evening calling me his sister-in-law and has decided that the wedding will be in 2 years time and will have lots of Samba.......     ... on the headland at the mouth of
    the river and surrounded on all sides at high tide - as low tide, jumped the
    defences and headed back across the sand. Was a nice view and had enjoyed the
    famed chilli choc ice cream cut with some capiranha sorbet before heading back
    along the 3km of rocky beaches. Shame they hadn’t completed ...

    Knew it would be a tough day’s travel and it was – had
    thought, because of that, to stay the night in Recife, but it was fully booked
    and managed to get a well priced single in Natal for 2 nights so went for it!
