... we didn't see much of the view. We stayed the night just over the top by a hotel. The road down the other side also twisted and turned but it was down through trees and valleys. The huge concrete Vidraru Dam is on this side too. Unfortunately we have no photos of this side as the camera didn't download properly and the photos were deleted from the camera before we realised.


Would someone please turn that tap off!

... had no real surface at all. Maybe they should reconsider that official opening and spend a bit of time actually building a road before declaring it open. For a motorcycle, parts of the road are downright dangerous because of the poor surface.

As w climbed higher the road surface improved even if the weather did the opposite. Soon visibility was down to a few yards, great fun on steep 1st gear hairpins. By now we were getting ...

... are just looking forward to doing it a bit slower and getting more out of each place. Peak season will end at the end of this month, which will also make things easier.
