Last trip into Dusseldorf
Away on the bikes , parked the bikes in the city and wandered the streets Dusseldorf is such a lovely city
Also great street entertainment
The big fair across the river has opened so sat and watch the roller coasters etc
Back home stsrt the packing

... river!!! Unfortunately we didnt realize our train split until the last minute when someone said somethig so we had to get out and run to the next car. made our ride just a little more exciting! We then finally got to Bacharach and wandered around for 30 minutes. Partially lost, and partially just enjoying its beauty! we then Checked in and went for a walk. but it started raining and we got poured on... So we called it a night and went to ...
... up the felled ones. Had to clamber over lots of fallen trees on our walk through the woods. Atmosphere great on Friday night when Germany won their quarter final in the World Cup, against France. The street was blocked off at a couple of intersections and the young folk were having a great time after the match. Lots of broken glass, but no violence. Police kept a discrete eye on things. Lots men with no shirts on some lying on bench with chest and abdomen exposed ( haven't heard of melanomas) some of them left their bras at home not a pretty sight.

Left camp at 9.50 in 29 degrees already, great cycle through lots of villages cherries peaches a lot of blackberry vines spotted a lady picking them on side of road with large bag nearly full
Into Dusseldorf few interesting ...
... some postcards and one package. (Laura keep checking your mail.) This train station is very well laid out and doesn't seem crowded at all. We meander around for a while and then take a walk over to St. Martin's. This chuch was also built around the 1150's but was pretty much destroyed in the war. They are still rebuilding it. This church is very stark but very bright.
