    ... and shady cycling with good paths. Also we seem to go much faster so got to our lunch stop (remagen) in good time. Simon had a bit of a disaster with lunch and bought raw sausage meat instead of salami for our sandwiches, he then tried to convince me it was sausage paste...     ... took the very sweaty tram back into Koln for some sightseeing around the cathedral which Elly very much enjoyed whilst I checked out the cathedrals pews, luckily she didn't manage to see the downstairs section and I distracted her whilst the people in front of us went down the stairs. The cathedral was too much excitement so we went and grabbed a local gelato before returning to the campsite for a dip in the Rhine to cool off and enjoyed a beer in the sun.     Rhyne valley to Edam for a bike ride today. Also watched how clogs and the famous Edam cheese is made.Then heading to Amsterdam to become a spacecadet. Smoked a joint with everyone for the first time in over 10 years which was fun. Had a few drinks and watched a sex show. Got drunk and had one hour sleep ...

    ... in a few hours before we could check in to the hotel.
    To be honest all I really felt like doing was lying down and putting my feet up. We'd had an interesting night in the hotel! At around 11 we started to hear the weirdest and LOUDEST screeching/wailing noises from a woman. Our first initial thought was the obvious....however the sounds went on for such a long time (too long??) and we couldn't hear anyone else. We could hear people closing their hotel ...

    The town is rich in ancient Roman history as we found out on our guided tour. Later we went for our own walk along the colourful waterfront.

    The Hohenzollernbrucke Bridge spans the Rhine river and features padlocks, handcuffs, tin cans and bicycle chains inscribed with couples names and romantic messages.
