... railway junction was the target of the allies attack. The Americans took over the bridge but ultimately it collapsed and killed 28 Americans. Later, we go to the famous Grand Hotel Steigenberger for lunch. The Germans compare it to Camp David, because many dignitaries such as President Bill Clinton have come for meetings here. After lunch, we ride our tour bus to Bonn where our ship has already cruised there to meet us. Here, we meet in the afternoon for a tour of ...

We weren't allowed to check in until 1pm, so we had to kill some time. We found a bakery and had some tea and pastry, wandered around, played in a park a little, and then had real breakfast at a place recommended to us by the front desk guy at the hostel. Ordering ...

... to have a proper look inside, as it was closed for a lunchtime service. So we just took some photos around the outside. Unfortunately because our legs are still incredibly painful from CrossFit in Amsterdam, we still can't even move well enough to consider doing the 503 steps to the top of the Dom's tower. Bit of a shame, but what can ya do! LolSo we headed off down the road to the main shopping avenue it turned out. This area was packed out with plenty of people shopping up a ...
