We arrived at the Detroit Airport at about 6:30 pm, got checked in, and they gave me a hard time about getting my boarding pass for the Paris to Lyon leg. However our tour director made a little noise and secured it for me. The taxi picked us up right on time and delivered us to the slots in Clinton where are bus was waiting for us. I'm thinking of you, Cia! I'm on my 14 1/2 hour flight from Detroit to Shanghai...I haven't tried the headphones, yet...wish me luck! That's why we bonded so well last year, remember? Of course the seat next to me this time is empty...what is that all about. Lucky or unlucky me??? Should I buy a bottle of duty free vodka on the plane??? We were so newbies last year. Ha! Among them were Ernie and Kerry DeCarlo. I met Kerry in the lobby where she walked up to hear the Australian accent. But she didn't think there was an accent!

Kerry is an Australian who's married to an American, they live six months of each year in each country. "I just want to hear someone talk without an accent!" she said. We had a long chat before it was time to go in.
