Drove to Story City, Iowa today. The weather was not good today, in fact we drove through pour down rain for about 1 1/2 hrs as we passed through Kansas City and northward. The campground was wet from all the rain and not as pretty as it was the last time we stayed here 4 years ago. Smokey hasn't been sleeping well and has been crying during the night. I guess it is too much going on for him. Needless to say, we haven't been sleeping too ...

... did not get even ones picture of our tent in the camp ground. Badlands is a fabulous place for sky watching. There is unobstructed view of the sky and not too much light pollution. ... husband are expecting a baby girl in late August. I couldn't be happier for them. Around 6:00, Art and the kids joined us at Julie's for a home cooked meal. Grilled pork chops, sweet corn, sweet potatoes and a nice green salad made for a delicious dinner. The kids were so hungry, they cleaned their plates clean.
