The Great Escape

... this place. Only downside was that we ordered Szechuan Prawns, we'd had a hankering for these all through the holiday. We sat there as the sizzling tray came towards us and it smelt and looked really good, only to pass us and be placed onto someone else's table. They looked delighted. Ours never showed up as the tray that passed us was probably ours. We gave up in the end although the lady who served us did realise the error but we didn't want to wait any ...

... Coming back into port was fun, the captain had to time it right. The swells at the harbour entrance were pretty big now and he had to avoid doing the Hawaii 5-0 Surfing we'd done earlier on. It,s too dark to see the views, so that will have to wait. We ditch our bags and head down the steep hill to find some nightlife. Where the might of Nelson's Royal Navy failed, Essex's, food & beverage sector managed to succeed and the first watering ...

... again later on in September that year, but gave up after the locals dropped boulders on their ships from the high cliffs known as Los Gigantes. Bristol Airport is not the place to hang around for any amount of time but eventually we went to Gate 26 to board our Thompson flight to Tenerife. It was a Boeing 757 and it was packed. Why people put themselves through this ordeal for a week ...
