... market, but we only had one night there, barely enough time to enjoy the atmosphere. Compared to other markets and such, we found shopping was better in Innsbruck compared to Munich. Swarovski crystal originated here and so that was also a big shopping draw. Their most recent orb for Christmas is exquisite!
While in Munich, I took a side trip without Jon to Salzburg, Austria. I've always wanted to visit Salzburg ever since I saw the "Sound of Music". Our ...

The car is parked until we leave on Thursday.

... As we got closer to our destination of Hallstatt we quickly realized why this was a favorite destination for people looking to capture the beauty of Austria. The curvy mountain roads lead us straight onto the shore of this beautiful lake and the approach to the little town was just stunning. Because the main square of town is so small we had to park our car outside and take a hotel shuttle in and when we arrived it was just starting to get dark which was a real ...

... into the city where Bern gave as a short orientation and we were free for the next 3 hours to explore. Innsbruck is the home of Swarovski Crystal and there were many of their shopping bags back on the coach :) We arrived at our hotel at around 6:00, settled in and had our included Schnitzel dinner at 7;00. Most of us turned in for an early night, as we have a 7:00 start tomorrow as we head to Venice via Verona to see Juliet's ...
