In the evening we went to the famous Kaifeng night market where I finally sampled some local snacks. The gist of the sign was that no bodily fluids should be flowing in the shower, no urinating, no spitting, and therefore no teeth brushing. The opening ceremonies will begin at 6:30. Kathy seems to think it is more if a mingle and cocktail time. We will try to gather all of the Canadians for a group shot, apparently we are about 30 in total. I just wanted to add a few shots from the opening ceremonies. Each country was ...

... Apple TV thing. In the evening we went to the Temple Street night market where we were able to buy a case for the new iPad. We were very brave and ate in a restaurant (of sorts) on the street next to the market. It was in the open air and there was a roll of toilet paper to use as napkins, but the food was actually very good and a meal for two with a couple of bottles of beer cost the equivalent of about £14! A good ...
