    ... for the requisite shot of The Peninsula Hotel on the way. We made it in perfect time for the 6PM ferry; the light was lovely and the HK skyline was all aglow.     We spent a great day in Hong Kong with my cousin Kathy Bates' son' s best friend, Tom Schmidt. Tom is an architect & author.     ... by tram. The gradient was about 45 degrees, up up up and up we went. We made an unscheduled stop about halfway up, which made everyone in the tram car go very quiet, but we got to the top without incident.
