    ... too big to jump so you just walk through – soaking feet. The last annoyance are the crazy Chinese drivers, especially the taxi drivers, who never slow down and in the rainy conditions, that means a spray or a wall of water as they plow through the water welled up against the curbs – wet everything.

    There were around 20 families expected, and the students ranged in age from 3 - 15 years.

    My job was to read them a story as they arrived, and keep them occupied till everyone was there, then we went round the animal farm area together, gave them a resource gift, had lunch and came home! Not too strenuous....

    ... do and Tim did get a number for the run. There are now hundreds, even thousands, pouring into the stadium, all to do the run. With the help of a volunteer who spoke some English, figured out Tim just had to put on his number and start running around the track and then out of the stadium. He figured it would take about an hour so I had a walk around and was just climbing some stairs to find a bathroom and meet Tim coming down the stairs! ...

    ... drove to the end of the street only to stop traffic again by pulling another uturn. In this case our driver rolled down his window and tried to spit on the guy's car. I never got to talk to him about it, because he doesn't speak English, but I agreed with his approach. This is the main reason we will not be driving in China!!
