After a wild and eventful adventure across the Indian Ocean Basin too breathtaking to capture fully in words, it's difficult to believe that this expedition has come to a complete halt. If only summer lasted forever so that I could continue to expand upon my knowledge of the region back then! The year 1392 seems so much more fascinating than 3619, even without the modern technology we have in this day and ...

I still cannot believe how quickly time has flown by, especially with each day being packed with new things to explore and discover, but I am now in Canton, the last stop in our journey through the past. Seems the early flight gets the immigration worm.. we were through in 20 minutes! amazing but then the luggage took 30 minutes.. ahh, the patience of a traveller!
Taxi time... must always use a registered taxi with a meter, the rule all over ...

It was a pretty exciting and exhausting weekend so Monday was a fairly lazy day. We tried to contact more companies at work but it is a slow-going process. After work we went home and after a light dinner I went to bed. On Tuesday the worst Typhoon in to strike Hong Kong in 13 years hit the city. Guangzhou is far enough inland to avoid major damage, but it was still very wet and windy today, and it is expected to stay that way for a few ...
