A beautifully furnished and finished hotel with attentive and non-intrusive staff. Great facilities, has the feel of a boutique hotel, within walking distance to the Dubai Mall.

Only to do it again.. this time with a house to leave, car to store (thanks Grandma!) and even more boxes. Thank-you to everyone who has helped us …

... in search of the Dubai creek. The Dubai creek is home to some of the traditional Souks (markets) and the old port. After negotiating the metro, I popped up on the other side of Dubai and began my mission in around 35 degrees of heat! I quickly navigated my way toward the Abra's (traditional wooden boats) moored against the stone wall...1 dirham got me across the canal and into the thick of it. I made my way through the silk and cotton market and got stopped by ...

... The inside was very beautiful with a two-story waterfall and several atriums. There were stores from all over the world. It was interesting to see the mix of new and old with the men dressed in robes and head dresses and the Burka-clad women but carrying Armani bags, toting Chanel handbags, going into a Build a Bear.

The aquarium has the largest viewing window anywhere so that was pretty neat. There are Great White Sharks and a Killer Crocodile (it was 1653 ...

When we go to Dubai it was 6:00 in the morning and we were so tired. After we got off we had a walk around the airport and mum bought a really cool snow globe and we got on the plain to Perth and it was 9:00 and we got on the plane. When we got in our seat and got in the air I tried my tv and went in to movies and put on a movie ...
