  • How convenient it is to get places. Wuhan just built a new subway system so you have the subway in addition to the extensive bus system to get where you need to go. Beijing was super convenient also. St. Louis is so behind.....

I tried to get some salt to gargle but that was quite an adventure, they don't seem to have it in any of their stores and most people didn't have a clue what I wanted. Norm was finally able to get some from our hotel dining room with a lot of gestures to explain "salt & pepper". The concierge asked him "write it down please" at which point he immediately googled the translation ...
