... very patient with other people in the car. Anyway we got there. The weather was not ideal for much exploring but did a quick look around and had lunch then onto Vaals. We arrived a bit late to go up the tower as it was running in winter closing hours but we got the idea. ... backwoods town doing about 110k (which is about 65-70 mph) so you better look both ways! Speaking of speed limits. One minute you are going 70, then it jumps to 90, but don't get comfortable, because 5 seconds later it jumps down to 50, but by the time you down shift to slow down, it's back up to 90 again! A few other observations about driving over here. Yield signs are just for looks. No one obeys them. Also, they have roundabouts about every 10 miles. ...

... We must have walked around the whole thing for our scavenger hunt. We had Gerardo leading us which was great because he pointed out a lot of cool architectural things and some fun history that I don't know if other teachers could have done. The only down side is Gerardo wanted us to finish everything (which was not going to happen because he went into detail on everything). The detail was great but we were very short on time.
