... beach which was surprisingly large and bright red due to tree tanins. Reputedly very therapeutic except that we read a very much less convincing report of the hygiene factor of the waters in the local council report! We contented ourselves with paddling. We had our evening constitutional along yet unexplored reaches of the 7 mile beach before all collapsing in the sofa complaining of sore legs due to walking in the sand and general ...

... We eventually got to Byron Bay in the pouring rain and traffic jams at whatever thought was 3pm. We went out for a walk to the light house, which turned out to be a trek thro rain forest we counted that there were a total of 410 steps there and back. It's was absolutely pouring and very windy. On the way back we realised that earlier we had driven thro a time zone so we were infact one ...

... seems the Aussies inclination for pointless rules started with the aborigines. Too early the next morning we went to Eli Creek aka hangover creek. It's a natural lazy river and it's said that your hangover is magically cured after you float down. Worked a treat. We got back into the cars and drove along the beach to Indian head which was incredible (I need a new word). Our guide was surfing while we climbed up a cliff face to look down on him in the clearest water I've ...
