    Weather: Lovely, warm, sunny.
    The plan for today was some preparation for Sue's birthday party here on Sunday afternoon. Sue's son Stuart came and helped put up 2 borrowed gazebos in the garden and set up tables in the conservatory. He was here for morning tea and a relaxing lunch. After Stuart left we two girls, with dog Dove went for a short drive to Boddington Reservoir to walk around it, which took about an hour. This reservoir is ...

    ... Barlands' shot. I had walked about 25 km and was thirsty and almost out of water and to make things worse I was at the base of the Dowdswell Dam which supplies water for the biggest town around. But no taps. Bad. I passed a fountain in the grounds of some grand manor house but still no tap. Worse. Then I come across this sign! Almost too much. But happy ending I found a cider. Everything looks better through cider eyes (so I put the last photo in for everyone except me!).

    ... bicycles flew by at death-defying speeds. The hot sun and muggy skies made for cranky children and adults alike.     As we wander the streets we are stopped by some very proper school boys in their blazers, ties and white shirts who are having a fund raising art exhibition at their private school. It just happens to be the school Shakespeare attended and it’s rarely open to the public. We pay the couple of pounds and enjoy talking with the boys about the school.
