... heat never relented. Arrived in Tampico and learned that a campsite was 20 USD and a shower was 10 USD. If you could sleep in the shower it would be cheaper. The heat continued with ongoing threats of thunderstorms but nada. Reached Ciudad Victoria easily and sure enough it really unleashed a thunderstorm.
