Words of amazement exhausted!
Well, the big day has arrived to visit the Winter Palace and Hermitage. A short walk in the falling snow to the Palace and in amongst the crowds and yes our information was right...it's free, but you still need to get a ticket and go through airport style security! City of monumental buildings
First look at the city in the daylight, which only gets light from about 09:45 onwards! But first a little about the temperature....in the buildings. It's hot!
