I'm not writingthat much these days, as there's not so much time for creativity in the evening - the only free hour i have during the day. And I lack energy for that as well. ... Minsk too there were an abundance of color and banners and almost every store had a poster in its window to celebrate the day. It was neat to be somewhere where there was something big enough to transcend borders, and it reminded me of being in Ukraine and Moldova during the Euro2012. In every city – Kiev, Chisinau, Lviv – there were banners and fan zones and molded shrubberies that remained even after the tournament was over.

... castle, and the weather was amazing. The sun was shining, the ground was covered in snow, and there wasn’t much happening as we strolled around the town of Mir, taking photos of the houses that time forgot. Quirky, but cool.

More time in Minsk took us to the many monuments around the city, that mainly had a soviet feel. We were intrigued at the Great Patriotic War Museum, where we learnt that like Poland, Belarus was devastated by WWII, maybe even more so, yet ...
