      ... doing sport orienting in the forest for the 1st time in my life. About 12-13 km running around in the forest, having almost drawn in a boggy swamp, where we got lost... but at the end it was fascinating to think what we had done.

      5) My 1st time rowing and trying kayak-paddling. It needed too much balance i could provide after the 12 km of orienting.

      ... really know if they do. It's a bit like the UK I think, it doesn't matter who you vote for as they are all *****......

      In the evening I met up with some locals I contacted through, they were all youngsters who have a regular "English Club" on Wednesday evenings, I went along to that and had a very pleasant couple of hours finding out about Belarus. We then headed off to a bar......
      That's pretty much all I remember....

      ... the strain. Very early check in at hotel and crash out until lunch catching up on necessary sleep. Open the bathroom door and find it's like a crime scene with forensic tape everywhere strapped across the bath, WC and basin. It reads in three languages "Disinfection is made". Well at least I won't be catching foot & mouth.

      ... Although it is a Russian Orthodox Church, there are no onion domes and the crosses lack the foot rest that one typically finds. A small area on the river has been rebuilt to show what 17th and 18th century Minsk looked like, and it is so different from the rest of the city.
