While on the island, I receive confirmation from my friend from Mt KK that he has a bed available. Im feeling yucky and not sure I can bring myself to go but i decide to try and just see how it all ends up. I make a quick exit off the island before lunchtime and find myself a minibus (not an easy task at all) ...

Today was an early start - 5:30am mini bus from our accommodation, setting off to the jungle for a day of white water rafting! The Tip of Borneo was a no go area because the Foreign Commonwealth Office was saying "essential travel only", too dangerous to go, which was a shame but I always take the advice seriously. I could have paid 100 to go snorkelling (what?!) but instead I thought ...

... was 4 and the sky was black with the noise of thunder in the distance, instead of getting caught in the rain at the beach we decided to leg it to the bus stop before it poured down. Thankfully we arrived with a minute to spare before the downpour began and only had to wait a minute for the bus to arrive. We ran back to the hotel to try avoid getting too soaked and spent a couple hours back there getting ready before heading out for dinner with ...
