... breakfast!". Thinking nothing more of it we returned to our room to find that while we were out the hotel had made us (mainly Jade) towel swans on the bed surrounded in rose petals. Nothing says 'honeymoon' more than towel swans and rose petals.

The following morning after our morning gym session and Jade saying hello to all her new friends in Gaya Island, Charles, Mary, Chef Dollis etc we went down for breakfast. Turns out that while the ...

... didn't but that he knew the owner of this one place who he thought he could call and get me a discount to about 60 ringgits (about $20). I found the place on tripadvisor and it looked pretty decent - lots of good reviews, but it was so far from the city center that I didn't feel comfortable. ... break and a much needed rest! An evening cruise through the mangroves was our first chance to see the Borneo wildlife. We sat in our boat on a deserted river watching the Proboscis monkeys do their thing. Then, as we listened to the final "melodies of the jungle", fireflies started to appear from the bushes and fly towards us...pretty effin' epic! On our way back to Sandakan, we stopped off in SimSim floating village where we were ...

... Oat were brother and sister from different families. We were all good friends by the time we reached the ferry an hour's journey from Kuching. At the ferry jetty we had to register with the national park and we decided to hire a guide for the day between the 5 of us for 4 each so Joe joined our happy little band for the boat trip to Bako National Park. Joe gave me a leech to hold, lovely! We journeyed down the Bako River towards the South China Sea. When ...
