... branch for no particular purpose. They seem to have a real playful carefree nature. Other highlights were the sun bears, otters, gibbons and proboscis monkeys. On my way out I grab my driver and I a local ice-cream - glutenous black rice flavour (yes, with real black rice grains through it). Not bad! It tastes like a frozen rice pudding. I try to convince my driver to drop me off at my accommodation to save me some time but his English isn't sufficient ...

Today was an early start - 5:30am mini bus from our accommodation, setting off to the jungle for a day of white water rafting! The next mode of transportation was an old diesel train. From ...

... my life! I have researched like mad to find out what it was but can't find a likeness anywhere. I love the beautiful tropical fish but not too keen on sea snakes! I loved the island for snorkelling (it had park rangers and lifeguards around....just incase!) then 3pm came and I was on the jetty. 4 boats came and went but no sign of mine! At 3.50pm I was beginning to think they had forgotten me and that I would have to spent the night on the beach, marooned on ...

    More dim sum!

A travel blog entry by cramow on Apr 27, 2014

... It was pretty cloudy so the sunset wasn't as good as the previous time but as the sun set over Gaya island the view was still nice to watch. Afterwards we went out for dinner at Emperors delight, which I think is now our favourite restaurant, although Sam had never been before so more of a reason to go again! We shared some spinach dim sum, steamed pork dumplings and sesame seed bread for starters before I ...
