... a small strip of waterside bars and restaurants looking out to sea and a food market stacked with fruit, veg, meat and fish. We followed our noses to a hot, steamy corner, racks of chicken wings were roasting over leaping flames, arrays of fish were grilling, and we were amazed to see tiger prawns of a size that would give the average lobster a run for its money! In an already tropically hot and humid evening, the multitude of closely ...

We decided to make the most of the day and headed off to the park. There was a little bit of drizzle about, but we only had one day and decided to go for a wander anyway. There wasn't a whole lot in terms of information, but we made the best effort we could of reading the map, and set off to find a track to walk. We managed to find it, and it was only about 700m ...

Finalment nous avons aussi visiter le Tambunan village resort centre, et il n'y a rien a voir! C'est un genre de camp de vacances pour jeunes ou tout semble fermer ou abandonner ...

At the park we went for a nice guided tour of the tinybotanical garden and saw orchids and other pretty flowers . Then we worked out some of the details for our trip up the hill - they don’t offer much info so, it’s a bit of a puzzle game with some guessing thrown in.

Illalla palasimme Labuanille ja lahdimme syomaan jo toissapaivana hyvaksi havaittuun kiinalaiseen ravintolaan. Saatuamme tilaukset sisaan (kasviksia, kanaa, katkarapuja) koko Labuan meni pimeaksi sahkokatkon takia. Menoa ravintolassa sahkokatko ei kuitenkaan haitannut, silla ruoka valmistettiin kaasulla ja tarjoilijat kiikuttivat pyotiin kynttiloita valoa tuomaan. Sahkokatko ...

There was not a lot going on, the different little villages each have a demonstrations and we found one that had guys jumping on a trampoline and Jessie took a turn, you had to jump and touch a symbol stick in the ceiling, they also danced on the trampoline. Another village had dancers doing the bird dance which we had been wanting to see and we were invited to join in. it's a pretty simple ...

Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, Malaysia hapis... so great!), and drinking the endless supply of tea. The following day was 'Orang - Utan day'!! We got up in time for the 10am feeding and got a lift to the sanctuary with one of Anton's associates, a longhaired jungle trekker with leopard skin covers on his car seats. In the pouring rain we got out of the car and ran to the ticket office, sheltering under a single umbrella. As we walked to the feeding platform we were dubious about spotting any Orang-utans - if I was an ...
