... and action packed trip. Back on terraferma we picked up our Greyhound tickets for our trip to Ucluelet (pre-booked online) and warmed ourselves up with a coffee and cookie. We wandered back to the hotel via Imax theatre, museum and Parliament House and walked back over to the food court for dinner a bit ...
... when we change seats - must be that passenger seat that does it. We drove back through town hitting end of day traffic - oops. It's been another stunning day though, and this weather is set to continue through until the weekend - yay! Out to dinner again shortly, and then its off back to Nanaimo tomorrow, to drop off the rental and catch the ferry back to Vancouver for our final night in Canada. Fingers crossed our sailing will be just as smooth on the return...
... were created by the wife of a cement manufacturer in the quarry abandoned by her husbands company and eventually opened to the public as the most incredably well kept public gardens I have ever seen.. being married to CJ I have been dragged to a lot.
The gardens are not just a flat expanse of plants but full use of the undulating terraine including the old dock and quarry itself have all been used to effect..
... in case I need to make a quick exit. Patrick and Lyndsey are rolling their eyes at me but I feel a little drugged from the gravol so I just close my eyes. Well, don't you know that within 5 minutes the kid RIGHT in front of me throws up?!?!
