... and to lucky visitors like us! We headed off road to climb up to Lookout Point and then headed cross country (complete with back pack) to see the tallest free standing totem pole in Canada. Over the road and down to the beach for a walk to Clover Point. The beach was a hive of activity with a mix of cyclists, dog owners and kite surfers. The water is a year round consistent 10 degrees. A day of rest looms today, after a good nights sleep, but a bit of a sleep in as we put the clocks forward 1 hour last night.

I went upstairs for breakfast had it with a very nice American couple we exchanged our tour stories, had plenty of laughs, and food to top it off. Had a good roam around the vessel, went to the complex area ...
... on our trip. We both agree we will be back. I still don't think I will ever get over the self flushing toilets (they just don't work!) or the fact that these people have no such thing as spray on deoderant. We look forward to saying goodbye to tipping in a few weeks but both agree we will look forward to another visit in the near (ish) future.

Victoria is the capital of British Columbia (BC) and is situated at the south end of Vancouver Island. It reminds us a little of Hobart in Tasmania.
It is very British in many ways and has a mix of old and new architecture.
It is one of our favourite places in Canada and is a nice place to base yourself and explore the gulf islands, visit Butchart Gardens or even venture into the USA.
