    Very Fine Safari Lodge

We enjoyed an awesome two-storey room overlooking a great water hole. Although I wish we had been closer to town they offered an excellent shuttle that we took advantage of. We also enjoyed several lunches at the open air bar/restaurant as well as an excellent dinner in the more formal dining room.

    Spectacular Stay in Victoria Falls

My husband and I loved the Vic Falls Safari Lodge. Our room was beautiful, the staff were super friendly and the view from our back deck was incredible. We saw many animals at the water hole in the "back yard". And the vulture feeding program the lodge runs is something to see. I highly recommend this place!

We had heard so much about this great hotel and told not to miss it.
We had stayed for 1 night at the end of a tour at another hotel and transferred here for 3. FANTASTIC. loved going deown to the breakfast room and watching the waterhole. Also we had preordered an upstairs room facing the waterhole (to the right of Reception) great view - except that monkeys are a BIG problems swiping things - watch that.
DON'T miss their restaurante down the drive (name?) - we had an amazing night there and my husband still talks about the whole room of people drumming - amazing experience plus the food.

After a flight from Johannesburg, and an 'interesting' entry into Zimbabwe, we arrived at the small township of Victoria Falls.

The nearby magnificent Victoria Falls, are one of the seven wonders of the natural world, situated on the Zambezi River, that forms Zimbabwe's northern border with Zambia.

We left Chobe late due to the slow breakfast service. Although we were the first at breakfast, we were the last served and we experienced atrocious service.

The morning drive was disappointing - no cats - just leopard tortoise and water buffalo. We did however witness some wild dogs chasing, and successfully snagging, some impala.

The guide book and Tripadvisor agreed with Craig that VFSL (Victoria Falls Safari Lodge) would make an excellent stop for lunch... Dusting off our 'smart clothes' we headed off...arriving and being shown to a perfect spot on the lower terrace, overlooking the waterhole and a collision of three stunning African countries...Zimbabwe, Zambia and …

After saying goodbye to our tour group and Lucky, we headed 4km up the road to the luxurious Victoria Falls Safari Lodge.

We were welcomed warmly by the General Manager whom happened to be seeing a guest off in an ambulance. His name is Jono or Jonathan and we discovered he has a brother who is the owner and main vet at Eastern …

On Saturday night we went out to dinner at an "Italian" restaurant in Livingston. The food was surprisingly... not bad?

After meeting up with some of Jamie's friends (quickly becoming my friends) we went back to the hostel to hang out. The jet lag was still intense and I was very much ready to go to bed but jamie refused to let me stay ...
