Make a plan and change it

One of the joys of having plenty time is that you can be flexible with where we want to go and how long we stay somewhere. We have a rough week by week plan of where we want to be but not a day to day timetable.

However this can lead to multiple changes to the days itinerary. We alway start with plan "A" but this regularly can change to plan "B" and sometimes plan "C" appears out of no where! The other day we change our minds several times ...

    Escape to the country

Alicante wasn't as crowded as we had expected but it was nice to head back into the hills away from the coast.

Jo had found one of the very few campsites away from the coast that is up in the hills. It was very quiet when we arrived on Friday afternoon but got busier over the weekend but was still very relaxing. Even managed to get a good walk up the local mountain including the scramble up to the very top. And ...

Another spectacular day on the beach and at the pool. I think we've all learned that going to the beach means you'll be covered in sand from head to toe. Our beach spot today was perfect. We were right in front of a section of the Mediterranean where you could swim out and play on a floating jungle gym of sorts. It had slides, diving boards, and a large hammock. The only downside was that by the time you get out there you are ...

Another beach day! The beach in Benidorm is nicer than Torremolinos. There are no rocks along the shoreline and the water seems warmer. The atmosphere here definitely caters to the British, but is fun for anyone looking for a busy beach town. We had a great day lounging on the beach and playing in the water. Clouds rolled in late afternoon, ...

Day 14: And away we go!

The pack is down to 12 and although we were sad to see them (4) go we are excited for our last week. Six hours, with stops, and we made it to Benidorm! Bags dropped in the rooms and we were off to the pool. The pool is beautiful and you feel like you're on a mini resort. After a quick change we headed to dinner. Chinese food was on our minds and we had four restaurants to choose from right by our ...
