Skansegaten 1 Stavanger, Rogaland, Western Fjords, Norway, 4006, +47-51867000

I went to Stavanger in june to attend the beach volleyball world tour, but when I got there I
fund so much else to do that I didnt find the time to watch the volleyball. Its was insane, and
the best part is that everything is so close that you can do alot in one day. I spendt 10 days there
and it is without doubt the best vacation I have ever been on.

I live in Amsterdam and ...
Stavanger, Rogaland, Norway thevikingIt really is just so lovely here. I know I must have said that in my last 2 blogs as well. But it is so true. Today we went for a walk downtown. Saw a massive cruise ship docked at the port. It was bigger than any of the buildings here by about 100 times. We had some cherries, only they call them something else here; sweeter than cherries apparently.

We grabbed some pastries and then headed to Herdis' friend ...
Stavanger, Western Fjords, Norway lingo83Another couple mad train rides from Bergen to Oslo and then over to Stavanger took us to small oil town, from where we would make our way to the beautiful lyseford. The fjord is quite deep, and we came to take the hike up to the Preikestolen, high above the fjord. The hike was great, and though we were soaked by rain upon arriving in Stavanger, it wasn't too bad during the 2 hour trek up.
Stavanger, Western Fjords, Norway fiseb... outside of Stavanger, that was very interesting. We had a 'beach day' last weekend with other friends of theirs and their kids. I must say, the parents have it figured out - we enjoyed coffee and cake in the cold weather all thewhile the kids had a ball playing in the sand, despite the snowsuits!! Callum goes to school 3 days a week, so I've been busy with Laurie adn Avery and off to various events including the play group Laurie organizes ...
Stavanger, Norway noradonald... home of Atlantic salmon farms, many of them belonging to Marine Harvest, one of the world's biggest producers of Atlantic salmon, which pioneered salmon farming in the late 1960s in Norway and Scotland and now also has salmon farming operations in Canada, Chile, the Faroes and Ireland. Gentle transport to harvest Marine Harvest, which produces salmon the size of 4kg to 5kg, has salmon farming down to a fine art and can determine the salmon's taste, texture, colour ...
Stavanger, Norway evasolo... fatty meal. Besides caraway seeds, Linie also contains hints of other herbs and spices such as aniseed and cinnamon. Linie has even had a special Riedel glass made for the drink - looking something like a small cognac glass narrowing into a short flute. The honour of introducing aquavit to Norway we are told must be attributed to the last Catholic archbishop of Norway, Olav Engelbrektsson, the de facto ruler of Norway in the 15 hundreds, for whom the ...
Stavanger, Western Fjords, Norway doctorhugo... bok choy, always sliced red peppers, corn, and pineapple, then Thousand Island dressing. Hmmm..... Rain beginning to settle in steady. To bed about midnight again. Day 2 - Today we are going to the Jærmuseum which turns out to be a kids hands-on museum. The cousins who are the same age as Art really like this museum, yawwwn. We ate the customary waffles with sour cream and strawberry jelly and had a pasta salad. We then had about our 7th ...
Kvernaland, Norway storbo... svedes." We didn't know what to expect but it turns out that svedes...are turnips! On Saturday we had a party at our apartment. I spent a good portion of the day getting groceries...it's really difficult to find brown sugar...and preparing appetizers. It was the first time that we have had guests over to our apartment. One of the critical things we realized just ...
Stavanger, Norway klh1... at around 45DKK each. We landed on Christiansand, Norway 2hrs later. My Nokia 7250 quickly chimed a welcome to Norway SMS from Telenor. Norway's landscape was immediately rocky. She welcomed us in her typical style - It was raining. I believe rain falls in Norway 250 out of 365 days. From Christiansand, we cut through Norway to make our way to Stavanger. Our hotel was situated near Lake Breiavatnet and the Stavanger Domkirke (Church) and our room had a spectucular view of the lake ...
