... that instead of asking to be relocated again to an upstairs room, I just asked for some anti ant powder and put that around the skirting boards. That seemed to do the trick although it does look a bit Christmassy in my room now.

Pretty much an outhouse in its own little room of the cottage, but you do at least have outside access to it from the center patio area.
