We were coming back to our place on the bus and i was nervous about us missing our stop., Suddenly I saw this board that said SOKAK and that was what i thought was the name of our street. Well, i called out and said "guys here is our street SOKAK" There was this silence and suddenly all 6 of us just packed out laughing!!!
This morning we went to see the Lycian tombs that are carved into this rockface looking down on Fethiye. An incredible sight ...

After an early morning wake up call at 6.25am. We got up had breakfast and were on the bus at 7.30am. We had a very long drive to Fethiye, 7 hours not including stops. The route wasn't too bad as we were driving along the coast, and saw some beautiful lakes. We stopped a couple of times, for restroom breaks every few hours. The first break was a little town where I got to experience a bazaar, basically an open market of stalls of cheap stuff. I missed seeing the grand bazaar in Istanbul so ...

I arrived to Uzumlu on 1 May from Istanbul. Here I am staying with a retired British couple, there three (inside only) cats, one dog and five horses. To say it's been a carefree experience would be a lie. Horse people are inherently a bit mad, these particular ones are into natural horsemanship, barefoot showing etc. making them more mad than some. I don't have an issue with any of there practices as such, however ...

... day in Turkey for a week? How about a boat trip! For 50 TL we were treated to a day on the Med ( as our new British friend Jacqui calls it) complete with visits to a few secluded bays for swimming, a fish lunch and cay for an afternoon snack. There's not a lot else to do, other than relax, enjoy the sun and maybe play cards if you're crazy Canadians. In each of the bays we anchored and were invited to jump of the boat into the sea. The water ...

... We were all sitting on these massive cushions around a couple of tables just chatting and drinking then Joel, Pete and I decided to head downstairs and check out the club. As we pushed open the sliding door the DJ promptly blasted Thrift Shop by Mackelmore and we stood there, on the dance floor, looking around the empty club.

We turned on our heels to leave and the DJ was so upset he asked us if we were going because of the music! I felt so bad ...
