Aside from the pollution, we both really, really enjoyed this city. I have always been intrigued by Kathmandu, and hence it was on our itinerary from day 1. There are cool temples everywhere, and the style of the architecture was quite different to what we have seen to date. This city felt like a big mixing pot between the sub-continent and the true east, making me super excited about getting to SE Asia.
