Today was going to be relaxing, no excuses. We cycled into
Sion and caught a train up to the tourist center of Zermatt which is famous for
its amazing view of the Matterhorn.

The train trip was uneventful and we sat back like rich
people watching the scenery go by from air-conditioned comfort. One change of
train at Visp and two hours later we were in Zermatt.

... as is
our way we set off on what turned out to be a five hour walk to the top of a
mountain and back.

The first four kilometers was up what I will call the 37
corner path. The route was along an old road that wound its way through 37
corners up to the top of the cliff. From here we took an arbitrary turnoff and
ended up walking for another hour until we arrived in a little mountain village
called Les Granges. Here we stopped for a drink before heading down ...

I am so Lucky!

... with some friends. Some times I just love myself. I think of something I want to do or somewhere I want to go and I pretty much always ( I don’t want to say always because one person will say oh well remember this one time…) end up doing it! I remember making these plans over a year ago and now I am fulfilling them, and it is even better than I ever imagined it would be. I have been able ...
