Das Abreisedatum rückt näher - noch 7 Wochen und dann geht es los.
Einmal um die Welt - oft darüber gesprochen, viel davon geträumt - bald wird es Realität.

Die Reisevorbereitungen werden intensiver, langsam macht man sich Gedanken, was man alles einpacken wird - nur nicht zu viel! Mal sehen ob das mit dem Vorsatz klappt :)

We were planning to go to Liechtenstein but thought we may as well as it was sort of on our way. It's the worlds 6 smallest country so it would have been rude not to go..haha.

We didn't drive to the main town but to another.. where really there wasn't anything. I did get a photo with the tourist sign though. Had to somehow prove I'd been there!

They had just made it through the Flueelapass, but they had lost brakes, and so the vehicle was left on the road and they put their stuff in another vehicle to get to the nearby campsite. A short night later, they eventually got back to their vehicle, and found that it was OK to drive. Gaz had removed the bonnet, to allow the engine to cool more easily.

... Feldkirch I got lost. Actually I was just trying to get to McDonald's because the group wanted a bathroom break and the public toilets here were not to our standards. Anyway, I drove past the McDonald's twice - once my fault and once the navigator's - and drove down a pedestrian only section of road before we gave up and continued on our journey out of town and deeper into Austria.

Work has been quite slow lately so since I had nothing better to do today, I took a train to Sargans, Switzerland, and then waited for a bus to Vaduz, Liechtenstein. I missed the bus that left 4 minutes after I arrived. By missed, I mean I couldn't find it until I saw it driving past me. And there are only two or three bus stands in Sargans at the train station, so it was completely due to a lack of intelligence on my part.

Everyone was dead tired when we landed, mainly due to the lack of sleep and "Jet-Lack". The kids, like my sis could well adapt to everything pretty fast. ... We traveled on some of the windingest roads you can imagine. Just when you thought you’d reached the valley, you would make a turn and go down some more. The scenery is so spectacular that the group is exceptionally quiet. They have to be awestruck. I know I am. The terrain returning from St. Moritz is very rocky. ... Hotel Europe, we stopped for some ice cream. I see why Europeans like their ice cream so much. It is really rich, smooth and delicious.

Once we were back in the room, we started to get ready for dinner. We were heading up the Jakobshorn Mountain for dinner, via cable car (two of them, actually) to the top.
