Reisevorbereitungen

Now you see it.. now you don't

We were planning to go to Liechtenstein but thought we may as well as it was sort of on our way. It's the worlds 6 smallest country so it would have been rude not to go..haha.

We didn't drive to the main town but to another.. where really there wasn't anything. I did get a photo with the tourist sign though. Had to somehow prove I'd been there!

Obersaxen / GR

Well, fancy meeting you here!!

... both up the hills and down them!! They had just made it through the Flueelapass, but they had lost brakes, and so the vehicle was left on the road and they put their stuff in another vehicle to get to the nearby campsite. A short night later, they eventually got back to their vehicle, and found that it was OK to drive. Gaz had removed the bonnet, to allow the engine to cool more easily.

... Feldkirch I got lost. Actually I was just trying to get to McDonald's because the group wanted a bathroom break and the public toilets here were not to our standards. Anyway, I drove past the McDonald's twice - once my fault and once the navigator's - and drove down a pedestrian only section of road before we gave up and continued on our journey out of town and deeper into Austria.

Quck jaunt to Liechtenstein

Work has been quite slow lately so since I had nothing better to do today, I took a train to Sargans, Switzerland, and then waited for a bus to Vaduz, Liechtenstein. I missed the bus that left 4 minutes after I arrived. By missed, I mean I couldn't find it until I saw it driving past me. And there are only two or three bus stands in Sargans at the train station, so it was completely due to a lack of intelligence on my part.

Once I ...

... it all. I can't help but think that this is the image Ahmedinijad and others have of the West. Obviously he ain't been to Jackson. At least the West's being honest. If he thinks Iran has no gays he doesn't know his own country very well. It was a haven for gays before Khomeini, and I doubt they've all left, though many have I'm sure. It's punishable by death I believe. You can't enforce sexuality, though Islam certainly ...

Everyone was dead tired when we landed, mainly due to the lack of sleep and "Jet-Lack". The kids, like my sis could well adapt to everything pretty fast. These kids could sleep anywhere, even on flight and on long coach rides. Well normal people like us, or ...

St. Moritz

... We traveled on some of the windingest roads you can imagine. Just when you thought you’d reached the valley, you would make a turn and go down some more. The scenery is so spectacular that the group is exceptionally quiet. They have to be awestruck. I know I am. The terrain returning from St. Moritz is very rocky. Wherever there is vegetation, there are cows. What a day! This was the most spectacular scenery I have ever seen. I will never be able to put into words what I ...

... Hotel Europe, we stopped for some ice cream. I see why Europeans like their ice cream so much. It is really rich, smooth and delicious.

Once we were back in the room, we started to get ready for dinner. We were heading up the Jakobshorn Mountain for dinner, via cable car (two of them, actually) to the top. I can’t wait to see the view from the top at night. The view from the cable car was incredible...you could see the entire valley. However, the restaurant was ...
