      ... with the beach in the distance below. It was all closed up, but the door was unlocked, so we peered in to find the most amazing Byzantine frescoes on the walls. The drive got crazier and scarier, but the scenery more and more spectacular as we made our way through the white mountains to laid back Sougia, where we had a late lunch looking out to the pebble beach and the sea.

      ... by Venizelos. It was very interesting. All sorts of Cretan products on display.

      We then walked to the Church of the Virgin Mary. This is the main church of Chania. It is quite small in side but very pretty. After our visit to the church, Dennis and I walked back to the ship. We have walked at least 2 miles every day and sometimes as many as four.

      ... able to traverse through the narrow streets of the small mountain village, avoid the sheep, goats and other cars that utilize the same roads and not get too terribly lost:)

      ... matter, especially since I pictured my childhood pet Patches, but I dove into the leg anyways.  What I will say is the sweet white wine and rosemary sauce was amazing.  The rabbit was tasty also - not gamey at all.  At dinner I met a couple from Switzerland and we chatted a bit.
