We woke up this morning and found ourselves in Livorno, Italy, the port city for Florence. It was amazing how smoothly the ship sailed overnight. I never even realized we were moving, nor did I feel any vibration as the ship docked. Pretty impressive!

As the day dawned, it was obvious that today would be the exact opposite of the previous couple of days. Overnight, the clouds have retreated and can be seen in the distance sidling up to the horizon. But I'm getting ahead of myself.

Vernazza was dramatically different from when I was here in Feb as it was super busy, happening, and looking shiny and new (see feb post but basically last time it was a mess due to the October floods but has recovered super fast).

We noticed a large ‘private’ launch (i actually thought it was a cruise liner it was that big) making its way through the area before disappearing north and I couldn’t help but wonder who that could have been…and just how much money would something like that cost to even run let alone buy!!! And of course….with all that money would they truly be that happy??? (i would give it a pretty good shot) What a stupid question!!!! ...
