We continued driving through Paris and stopped at the Pantheon to visit the building and the crypts of famous Frenchman and woman, including Victor Hugo, Marie Currie and her husband Pierre. The Pantheon is in the heart of the Latin Quarter near the Sorbonne, which was started in the 13th century as a theological university. ... with 3 metro lines. Good location, just not view and the alley is in between too tall buildings, only a glimpse of sky. A secondary school is my neighbor. You cannot tell it's a school from outside!
Also because I've been out walking in the morning, I've seen many elementary students walking alone. Only very few were with a parent. Some seemed very young, probably first grader?

My last afternoon I strolled thru ...

Notre Dame, walked along the Seine river to come across the famous love lock bridge, visited the Louvre (AND SAW THE REAL MONA LISA), the Musée de Orsay (a former train station converted into a museum- also where Edgar Degas' masterpiece ballerina sculpture resides!), walked down the Red Light District to come across the Moulin Rouge, had a fantastic French dinner of boeuf borgingon, and of course, the Eiffel Tower and L'arc du Triomphe. ... delightful young man behind the desk permits us to check in early, I am sure he can see how exhausted we both are and takes pity on us. He is very interested in hearing about Australia as he is planning a trip later that year.

The room is very basic but extremely comfortable and we both have a long hot shower and refresh ourselves and fall onto the feather soft bed and into oblivion. I think i am snoring softly i am so exhausted.
