    ... this was also wonderful (Sandy worked this out without Geraldine's help). It is an old walled village and I found it better than most we had visited recently. I am not sure why I am saying this - but the shops were much better, much classier. The glass shop had some unbelievable pieces - nothing under 500 euro but they were certainly not the normal tourist "junk". Similarly the leather shop had some really nice ...

    Spend the morning taking it very easy. We turn up early at about 12.20, to find our host taking the **** because we had accidentally booked for once et demi, 11.30. There were spare tables available, so no damage done. We settled for the 3-course 12 euro set menu, quite good but nothing special, and at the right price. Total bill with drinks came to 32 euros plus tip.

    ... he met Debbie coming down, and she had a 50 cent coin. Murray was able to enter the toilet, but wasn’t out of the woods yet, as the light in the toilet was on a timer, which locked out after a pretty short time. In pitch dark, with no paper in the dispenser, the rest of the operation was carried out with the door propped open by the newly found massive toilet paper roll. Ahh…travellers’ tales.

    Staying at lovely B&B in Dordogne Valley in France. Le Chevrefeuille owner and chef Ian took us to farmers market in nearby St Cyprien. We selected some lovely ingredients and then headed back to the kitchen to prepare lovely lunch. Just amazing!
