Today was eventful yet relaxing. We just walked around this town that had tons of history and shops and was just great. I bought some new jeans and a shirt and found some things that i only wish i had the money to buy! Bergerac sure was neato! i shoulda taken pics of the rif-raf to show everyone. There were some punk kids hanging in the town square. I had prolly the best hamburger ever, which is weird since i'm from Nebraska. hmmmm..... I think all i'm doing here is eating, which is the opposite of what i wanted. Well it's finally happened! I'm in France! After 10 hours of 3 flights and an hour drive, i'm in my new residence and have been fed to the max. A home cooked meal was certainly what i needed after all the **** i consumed on the flights. I'm surrounded by endless grape vines and amazing scenery. It's like 70 degrees here and so nice. Last night of rest before all the campsites close. It was the last campground that I’ve found that is open all year long. Found out today that the ‘Aire du Service Camping’ that I had found as a back-up are reserved just for ‘camping cars’ not tents. WTF? Why can caravans camp for free anywhere they want and we can’t??? We spent the entire afternoon canoeing down the Dordogne. We packed a lunch and found a nice spot along the river to enjoy some wine and cheese. It was so peaceful and beautiful. Every couple of Kilometers was anothe castle overlooking the river. The river was so flat that we could just float along and enjoy the view.

From the cousins house we moved further west to Neils parents house. They have a place in a beautiful old town. It is an old walled vilage on the hilltop overlooking the valley. The village is full of cobblestone streets, windy narrow alleys and cute little homes. We ate great meals, enjoyed excellent wine and spent time with Neils parents. thank you again for hosting us!

It feels like we can really start to enjoy our time in France now we are reunited with Duncan and Moby. On Sunday we rise early to go the market in Libourne. It is bustling with bright market stalls and we supplement our picnic lunch with flat peaches, olives and the obligatory baguette. The boys are fascinated by the live crabs, eyes on stalks.
