... tonight was in a French Provinciel style, with Baroque harpsichord music playing, silver and attentive service. More duck and cepes (mushrooms), but delicious. I have not yet seen the type of mushrooms used in cooking here, but I like their strong but delicate flavour. Tonight there was a mushroom risotto unlike any I have tasted; the rice being like a creamy non-sweet rice pudding.

Fortunately for the wait staff, the plat principal took so long for the guests to finish that we also had a chance to eat the main course before the next thing was due to be served. Energy was partially restored and the lamb was, once again, exquisite.
