    ... we managed to find room for the free Ben and Jerry's on offer at the bottom of the steps. Yum and hurrah for freebies! We then walked along the pier to the Alcatraz dock where we quickly picked up our tickets before making our final stop of the day - Pier 39 at Fisherman's Wharf.     ... our meal we decided to head back to our lodgings, saving the rest of our discovery for the next day. Rumours spoke of famous beaches and various other landmarks, but the night had grown cold and a man of my years desires only sleep after a hearty meal.     ... pretty houses that you would have seen on TV. It was more of a trek then we had anticipated with yet more hills. Jane wasn't too happy with me when we got there because she had expected more. The only saving grace was that it was downhill to the bike hire shop.

    ... platform (reminiscent of the Dream Team movie) Scott and Mary wait at the terminal and eventually reunite with Harv, Jan and Matt. We end a great day with a snack of the items I bought at the market and pack for our flight home.
    Post Script: Sunday is a travel day. We arrive at the airport to find out we are all sitting in the very last row of the plane next to the bathrooms!! Don't they know we are the Dream Team?
