          2015 Sept. 29 - Tuesday

It's hard to believe that my month in Europe is now over and that it’s now time to make the long journey home, a process that’s usually tiring and often mildly unpleasant.

I didn’t have any trouble waking up, and getting my gear pre-organized the night before really saved time. I was down at the front door of the Pension about 10 minutes early, and the Shuttle (a black minivan) was already waiting. ...

Have had the bike serviced in Kelowna, together with a new chain & rear sprocket. It has been cleaned but is still dirtier that any other bike around here. I can see through the screen for the first time in weeks though.

I have been on a few rides around these parts but mostly ...

... year, although as with last year it was a bit of work to get hotel bookings in Monterosso. Rather than adjusting my travel dates to fit availability, I’ll have to split my stay between two Hotels this time, as my two primary hotel choices are both fully booked with tours. I still have a few details to finalize, including whether or not to use a Railpass in the Berner Oberland (and which Pass to use), and whether or not ...

Well my name is Mike Overend and I am the other guy who will be embarking on this journey with yours truly Adam Luciuk. This will be my bio, and I would have to say probably the first bio I have ever written about myself. Well maybe not the first time I have had to describe myself, but the most meaningful. I was born in Vernon, B.C, where I grew up with a fair sense of outdoor enthusiasm. I can't say my family are hardcore ...
